The condition of veteran actor dilip kumar, who admitted to a Lilavati hospital in Bandra (West) Mumbai on Sunday after irritable of tenseness in his chest, is now safe.
“Dilip Kumar has been admitted to our hospital, he is in the intensive care unit (ICU) and his condition is stable,” Lilavati Hospital speaker Dr Naresh Trivedi told PTI on Sunday. “He is aging and has suffered a heart attack of the inferior wall,” said a source from the hospital. “He is stable, and we are praying that he recovers fully. On 13th of this month he had viral fever for one day and today he felt a little discomfort and we decided to bring him to hospital and right now he is conscious. He had undergone open heart surgery 14 years ago,” the actor’s wife Saira Banu told the media outside the hospital.
Mr Kumar,90 known as ‘King of tragedy‘ article good roles in classics like ‘Devdas’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and ‘Ganga Jamuna’.
He was born Muhammad Yusuf Khan on December 11, 1922, in Peshawar (now in Pakistan) and his acting career over 60 films.
